Dear Friends and Supporters,

I’m pleased to share that I joined Accessia Health in December 2025 as Director, Development & Growth. It has already been a privilege to connect with many of you who have reached out to share your personal connection to our mission. Your stories are a powerful reminder of why our mission matters.

We've started off 2026 strong, with knowledgeable healthcare insights published across media outlets from our President, Tiara Green, hosting our first webinar of the year focused on policy and advocacy, and continuing to create and promote valuable resources for our community of patients and providers thanks to your support.

If we haven’t yet connected, I encourage you to reach out. I welcome the opportunity to learn more about what inspires your support and to explore ways we can continue expanding awareness of the vital programs and services that we provide the community. After all, who doesn’t appreciate a good pen pal?

To learn more about me and my background, you can find my full bio on our website here.

Thank you for your continued support and for the many ways you help strengthen our mission!

Sincerely yours,

ICYMI: Advocacy In Action Now Available

Accessia Health hosted our first webinar of the year Advocacy In Action: What 2026 Policy Changes Mean for Healthcare on March 12th, and the session is now available to watch on our YouTube channel!

For more than 20 years, panelist Dane Christiansen has been working in government relations—specializing in advancing medical research, treatment development, and patient access related policy goals within the rare and chronic disease communities.

Designed for patients, providers, family members, and advocates, Dane outlines a high-level overview of key federal programs, current legislation, and how you can get involved in advocacy priorities shaping current healthcare.

Your Support Fuels Real Resources

Thank you for supporting Accessia Health and the individuals and families we serve. Your generosity helps expand the resources available across our network, from advocacy tools that empower people to raise their voices, to patient stories that share real experiences and build meaningful connections within the community.

In our newest patient testimony, Natalia shares how perseverance, advocacy, and the right support system helped her find stability after multiple SSDI denials. Through Accessia Health’s A.C.C.E.S.S. program, she was connected with experienced legal support that understood the complexity of her medical history and helped her successfully navigate the disability process.

Anyone living with rare or chronic health conditions deserves seamless access to care. Healthcare expenses have become so great that just having health insurance isn’t enough. Families simply cannot afford the copays or cost sharing required to even go to the doctor. Our goal is to protect and expand healthcare access for people, with or without health insurance.

DID YOU KNOW? Through our disease-specific Patient Programs, eligible individuals can use their funding to pay for:

  • medication copays
  • health insurance premiums
  • travel costs
  • other related medical expenses including:
  • durable medical equipment
  • diagnostic testing
  • therapy services
  • dental care
  • counseling services

Accessia Health, a national charitable patient assistance organization, is dedicated to eliminating healthcare barriers for people with rare or chronic health conditions. Comprehensive services include personalized case management, financial assistance, education, and legal aid support. Our flexible funding model goes beyond copays, allowing individuals to pay for other essential medical expenses including insurance premiums, screening and diagnostics, therapy services, travel costs and more. Accessia Health works to ensure that every individual has access to the care they need to lead a healthier life.
