A Message from the Director

Everyone is talking about retention – but what are we actively doing about it? This month, we're continuing our discussion on retention strategies in an environment where talent is hard to find and retaining high performers is harder than ever.

The intangible costs (productivity, culture, expertise) of replacing talent are greater than the tangible cost. The second highest reason employees leave is because they do not feel valued or appreciated in the workplace (Pew Research Center). THIS is where you can have some control. Managers and directors can directly impact this issue.

MHSA Coalition Transportation Pilot Project | The successful pilot project, which has been extended for one year, was featured on KSN.

Collective Impact | The PPMC visited Spaght Elementary's Grill & Chill, the school of focus for Wichita Collective Impact, and helped parents/caregivers do the Ages & Stages Questionnaire for child development, which is also championed by the Wichita Literacy Coalition
