John Murdoch: PATH Intl. Certified Driving Instructor, Level I Representative
Stephanie Roeter: PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning Representative
The council will first convene via conference call to discuss its first task of selecting a public member representative. Per NCCA standards, a public member must be included to represent the population served by PATH Intl. certification and accreditation programs. The public member cannot be a member of PATH Intl., certified by PATH Intl., nor be employed by an EAAT center. The ideal candidate for this position is an EAAT participant, parent, center board member or volunteer.
The credentialing council will hold its first face-to-face meeting in November, concurrent with the PATH Intl. Conference and Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. At this meeting, the council will be provided guidance by representatives of Professional Testing, Inc., to establish the council's goals and trajectory toward accreditation of the registered therapeutic riding instructor certification.
Please join the association in congratulating those PATH Intl. members elected to the council and thanking them for volunteering their personal time and resources to represent the membership in the pursuit of third-party accreditation. With this council in place, we celebrate a momentous step toward achieving accreditation and the professionalization of PATH Intl. credentials.
What's next?
The results of the job task analysis for the position of registered level therapeutic riding instructor will be shared. The data that was collected from this job task analysis now becomes the foundation of the work to be conducted by the incoming credentialing council.
