Achieving My Dreams: Syeda Areeba

Syeda Areeba is a 22 year old woman from Pakistan, who recently was approved for a Save One Life scholarship to pursue her Bachelors of Business Administration. Syeda has Von Willebrand dissease. She submitted this video to apply for a scholarship grant from Save One Life. Syeda graciously told us her story and what it's like to live with VWD in Pakistan.

"As a student living with Von Willebrand Disease (VWD) type 3, I face unique challenges in my daily life. Despite these challenges, I am determined to pursue my academic goals and achieve success in the field of business administration. My family has been instrumental in supporting me throughout my journey, and I am grateful for their love and care.

Due to my VWD diagnosis, I require regular medical appointments and medication to manage my condition. This has resulted in additional expenses for my family, which can be a significant burden.

I believe that with the right support and resources, I can overcome the obstacles in my path and achieve my full potential."

Save One Life is honored to support such dedicated students in fulfilling their dreams. We wish Syeda all the best in her upcoming semester!

Thank you to Sanofi for their generous support of our scholarship program!

Save One Life at EHC 2025 and

the 2025 National Conference for Women!

Cindy and Marelle had an incredible time at the EHC Conference in Vienna! Our Executive Director, Cindy Komar, and board member Marelle Hart connected with representatives from all over Europe to discuss the current landscape of hemophilia care in their countries. We were also proud to join Sobi in showcasing our documentary, "Mountains We Carry; Mountains We Climb," a powerful film that follows seven individuals with hemophilia on their journey to summit Mont Blanc. The conference was truly inspiring, filled with meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and lasting connections.

That same weekend, Debbie de la Riva represented Save One Life at the National Conference for Women with Hemophilia and Rare Factor Deficiencies hosted by the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan! We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan for hosting such a successful, insightful and inspiring event. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to spread awareness of Save One Life.

Thank you to our 2025 corporate sponsors!
