Lyndsay Stone ~
Originally inspired by experimental folk artists like Andrew Bird and Gregory Alan Isakov, Lyndsay likes to play with song structures that invoke the feeling of journeying. She prioritizes the message of the song and layers it over a tediously thought-out background of intricate fingerpicking, forthright lyricism, and lilting vocal melodies that are often referred to as persistent earworms. Her content ranges from redwood forest regeneration, to romantic love, self-healing, and the fight against white supremacy. Her 2019 EP “Feather” has been applauded by listeners as “giving”, “haunting”, and “emotionally kinetic.” In 2020 Lyndsay opened for NPR-acclaimed songwriter Johanna Warren and has studied with renowned singer/songwriters such as Phoebe Hunt, Aoife O’Donovan, and Rachael Price (of Lake Street Dive). Lyndsay is currently releasing singles while recording her first LP, and all her released music and videos can be found on all platforms.
