Updates from the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians
|
From Daniel Jones, President of UBE Pacific Northwest:
Ethnic Ministries' Black/African American Circles of Color has extended a warm invitation to the Diocese of Oregon for those who identify as Black or African American.
The idea of adding a Black-exclusive meeting to the UBE Pacific Northwest Chapter schedule has been under consideration for a year. However, I needed to ensure that if we started anything as important as this it would also be sustainable and have well-defined goals.
The opportunity is now here to gather the community of Black Episcopalians in the Pacific Northwest under the umbrella of the Ethnic Ministries Circles of Color which supports the mission of our Chapter.

The ECWW Contemplative Practices Online Community
|
Our online contemplative group practices are like those offered at many in-person churches in the diocese, but primarily serve contemplatives from small churches/communities without in-person resources or for whom current in-person meeting times aren’t convenient. Please see the practice pages for in-person contemplative practice opportunities and let us know if you’d like to have your in-person meeting information included. Feel free to join as convenient for you. It would be very helpful as we plan our programming to hear about how our schedule suits yours. If we have enough interest around an additional day/time, we may be able start a new group. Please contact Sylvia Sepulveda at ssepulveda@ecww.org or 206.325.4200 x2042.
