A Note from Communications Office
Dear community of the Diocese of Olympia,

While we continue to navigate the uncertainty and ever-evolving situation of this current health crisis, our weekly diocesan newsletter, Across the Diocese, will remain slightly truncated and be focused on sharing out resources, important information, points of connection between our worshiping communities, and virtual events for the benefit of the entire diocese.

Young Adult Wilderness Pilgrimage
July 30-August 2 | $150 Registration

This year’s Young Adult (20s/30s) Pilgrimage is destined for the beautiful Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area in the Central Cascade mountains.

Limited to 12 people from around the diocese, this challenging backpacking trek will be fully supported, with:

  • an experienced guide;
  • a thoughtful itinerary that builds in time for fun and exploration;
  • all food included;
  • opportunities for connection, quiet time, prayer, music, journaling and meditation;
  • guidance in advance to make sure you have the gear you need to have a positive experience; and,
  • safe parking at Camp Huston with van transport to the trailhead.

We’ll check into “base camp” on Friday, July 30 for dinner, gear check, and an overnight in one of Camp Huston’s bunkhouses. Then we’ll head into the wilderness on Saturday morning, returning to civilization on Monday afternoon, and finishing with lunch at a local burger joint famous for its milkshakes.
