Convene 2023

September 30, 9:00 am | Everett Community College

Reconnect with Episcopalians from across the Diocese, and join us for this exciting new event open to everyone! Gain new resources and support, and spend time learning from and networking with churches from every corner of Western Washington! Convene 2023 will feature multiple workshop sessions throughout this day-long opportunity for learning and connection, preparing us all for the future of our communities, helping us discover (and rediscover!) new ideas, and giving us the time and space to share information about programs and ministry opportunities.

Convene 2023 is designed for leaders, potential leaders in congregations and interested others – clergy, staff, vestries and bishop’s committees, administrators, members of convention, and anyone who wants to reconnect with others in the Diocese over ways to strengthen our congregations. So put together a team from your congregation and get ready to join us on September 30 as we Convene at Everett Community College.

Holding Onto What Is Good: The 113th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia

October 28, 9:30 am | Online

As we await the election of the next Bishop of Olympia, like the ancient Christian Community at Thessalonica awaiting a changed world, we continue pressing forward with the good and important work of our Diocese. This includes strengthening racial justice and racial equity, developing more faithful, healthy, and effective faith communities within their contexts, and making greater progress on creation care and climate justice. In this time of active waiting, we “hold fast to what is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21) within our Diocese and, at the same time, prepare ourselves for a new season.

Join us online on October 28, beginning at 9:30 am, for the 113th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia - a day to do the good work of the Diocese as we elect new leaders and vote on important resolutions for the life of our Diocese.
