As you are probably aware, the City of Kansas City, MO released its FY21 budget on Thursday, February 13th.
Included in the budget are proposed cuts to arts programs, including:
— Elimination of the Office of Culture and Creative Services
— $175,000 reduction in Funding for KC Film Office
— $90,000 reduction in Funding for ArtsTech Teens in Transition Program
The City has announced three budget hearings to engage with the public:

ArtsKC is hosting our
Friday, February 28, from 2 - 4PM at Black Archives of Mid-America. This workshop is designed to give you more information, tools, and resources to help you be as comfortable as possible to advocate to the city, state, and region on behalf of our arts community.
Put what you learn on Friday into practice at the final two budget hearings.
