City Council Approves Downtown Incentive Plan

Last week, San Jose City Council approved a new incentive plan to boost downtown office occupancy, offering a two-year business tax exemption and free parking to new tenants. The program, starting January 2025, aims to attract businesses to lease large office spaces, offsetting short-term revenue losses for long-term economic growth. We appreciate the City for taking action to support business and our downtown!

Small Business Grant Opportunity from Berliner Cohen

Berliner Cohen, LLP is offering the 2024 Small Business Grant, a limited

grant of legal services and $5,000, to one minority-owned business in San Jose, CA. Eligible businesses must be at least 51% owned by individuals identifying as Black, Latino, Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Native American, Middle Eastern, or Alaskan Native, have fewer than 25 employees, and be in business for over a year.
