Monday: Join us at the San Diego City Council meeting in support of the Bicycle Master Plan Update

  

On Monday, City Council will vote to approve or deny the Bicycle Master Plan Update, a citywide policy document to guide the development and maintenance of San Diego's bicycle network over the next 20 years. Please join us at City Hall on Monday to show your support of the plan. 


We support the new plan which includes an assessment of the existing infrastructure in San Diego and recommends increased bicycle parking, improved bicycle signage, bicycle safety courses and approximately 878 miles of proposed bike lanes and bike routes throughout San Diego County. Pre- City Council Meeting Ride with Councilmember David Alvarez

 

On Monday, December 9th, join us as we ride with Councilmember David Alvarez and other bicycle advocacy leaders from Alvarez's home in Logan Heights to City Hall Monday prior to the City Council's vote on the Bicycle Master Plan. The ride will go through some areas slated for bicycle infrastructure improvements in the Bicycle Master Plan.

 

The Bicycle Master Plan is a citywide policy document to guide the development and maintenance of San Diego's bicycle network, including roadways, support facilities, and non-infrastructure programs over the next 20 years.

WHEN: Monday, December 9, 2013 from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.

WHERE: Starting at Alvarez's home in Logan Heights, we will ride along three areas slated for improvements in the Bicycle Master Plan along Cesar Chavez Parkway, National Avenue and 14th Street through East Village and Downtown to City Hall.
