Thank you for advocating
The legislative session concluded on May 23 with most of their work left undone, including passing a Health and Human Services Omnibus Finance bill. Governor Walz and legislators have the option to return to the Capitol for a Special Session to continue passing Omnibus bills. In the days since the close of session, Governor Walz and House leadership have stated their interest in returning to the Capitol to finish their work, while Senate leadership has indicated they are not interested in a Special Session. Given that there is still a possibility of a Special Session being called, Governor Walz and House and Senate leadership need to hear your personal stories about how the crisis in access to disability services will continue to grow without their action.
We appreciate your continued engagement in the process.
