Action Alert!

It's Time for Pennsylvania
to Right the Wrong

When Crystal Weimer was released after 11 years in prison, she was dropped at the side of a field with her belongings in a plastic bag. She had nowhere to go, no food, no job, nothing to support her.   We think that is an outrage.

Thirty-one states provide some level of compensation for those who fall victim to wrongful convictions. Pennsylvania is not one of them.

This October 4 is International Wrongful Conviction Day - a perfect time to raise awareness about Pennsylvania's lack of compensation and work to bring change.

Wall for Innocence
>> Put together a
Wrongful Conviction Day of Action  by setting up a  Wall for Innocence  with your student or religious group, community organization, or friends. Get everything you need - handouts, pledge cards, information about compensation - in our Complete Wrongful Conviction Day Toolkit.

>> Act today by going to our Legislative Action Center and email or tweet directly to your Pennsylvania legislators asking them to support compensation laws.

>> Sign the Pledge and commit to helping bring a fair and just compensation law to Pennsylvania.

As always, we appreciate your help and generous support so we can continue fighting for the convicted innocent.
