Please join us at the San Joaquin River Conservancy Board meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, 10:30 am, Fresno City Hall Council Chambers.

Over the past few years we've heard a lot of information about a yet-to-be designed access point called Alternative 5b. We've contrasted the 5b road idea - a road that will most likely never be built - with the existing access point called Alternative 1.

This morning the Fresno County Board of Supervisors voted to reaffirm their support for 5b, which prevents people in our community from driving on an existing public road to public land. Does this make good fiscal sense in a community with so many needs? We don't think so.

In order to more thoroughly illustrate the difference between these two access alternatives, we took the time to create a short video showing the existing access versus the non-existent access. Take a look and see which route makes more sense to you.
Please attend the meeting on Wednesday, and tell the Conservancy Board to approve a project that can actually be implemented. It is time to move Fresno River West forward, and Alternative 1 is the only real access point in the City of Fresno.
