As we look to Suicide Prevention Month in September, with Suicide Prevention Week taking place 9/8-9/14, the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention ( Action Alliance )—the nation’s public-private partnership with 250+ partner organizations—wants to remind you about the important role we all play in suicide prevention. This is the fourth and final in a series of e-blasts aimed at equipping you with the necessary resources and tools for your organization to plan for and participate in this important national conversation. The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance) and its hundreds of public-private partners are once again uniting during suicide prevention month ( #SPM19) to highlight the importance of being there for the people in our lives. Join the Action Alliance to help educate the public about actions anyone, anywhere can take to help someone feel more hopeful, engage in help-seeking behaviors, and experience recovery. Get involved today!

  • Use the hashtag #BeThere to educate your social media followers about the many actions one can take to support a person who is struggling.
  • Participate in the Action Alliance's #BeThere Twitter chat on Monday, September 9 at 2pm ET.
