CLCC joins with Rivers Alliance of Connecticut and other advocates across the state in sharing the following action alert:

The Connecticut General Assembly has an opportunity to score a big win for the environment and our water resources by passing Connecticut’s first State Water Plan.

Background:  Years in the making, with significant investment of time and resources, and based upon input from dozens of stakeholders -- including members of the public -- the State Water Plan shapes how the state regulates all water resources, and includes detailed information on state water resources and priorities related to drinking water, protection of watershed lands, and conservation.

The administration, legislators and stakeholders have reached an agreement that will get the State Water Plan through the legislature this session without changing the Plan as drafted.

Your action is needed! Please contact your Legislators and ask them to pass any bills and resolutions needed to get Connecticut’s first State Water Plan across the finish line.
