Texas Rising Star
Great strides are being made to increase the quality of childcare across the state of Texas. Effective October 1, 2022, the WSA arms will be open wide, as the Board’s Texas Rising Star staff welcome all CCS Providers to obtain Entry Level Designation (ELD) in the Texas Rising Star (TRS) Program. The Board and its Mentors are excited to offer you training and guidance, as all CCS Providers begin the on boarding process.

Some of you may be wondering what Texas Rising Star is and how this will impact you? Texas Rising Star is a quality rating improvement system aimed at increasing the quality of childcare across the state of Texas. There are three levels of quality certification (Two-Star, Three-Star and Four-Star). The Certification levels are linked to possible enhanced reimbursement rates for children receiving Child Care Services subsidies.

Want to get started?
To begin the process, you will submit an interest form using the link below. After submitting the interest form, a Mentor will contact you. Eligible providers will be enrolled in a Quality Cohort where staff will be there to guide you through the various areas to increase the quality of care at your Provider. Incentives will be available to prepare your program for certification. At certification based on the Star level achieved, Monetary Incentives will be provided to your staff who worked together in achievement of the quality level attained.

You don't have to wait until October 1, 2022. Submit an interest form today!
