Webinar Listening Sessions: Industrial hemp and rural development in the 2018 Farm Bill

This week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is holding two webinar listening sessions regarding implementation of the 2018 Farm Bill. One is focused on hemp production and the other on rural development.

The Native Farm Bill Coalition encourages tribal leaders to participate in these webinar listening sessions or submit comments online. For more information, visit farmers.gov/farmbill .

Most importantly, we believe that the USDA must commit to do in-person, regional government-to-government tribal consultations, and allow for USDA agencies and state-level officials to host meetings and listening sessions to ensure full engagement of Indian Country during Farm Bill implementation.
