Dear Friends,
Often during Bible Study, we'll be amazed at some of the "head-scratching" comments coming from the disciples. Here they are with Jesus day and night, and yet they still don't get him. It also occurs to us that yes, here we are post-resurrection and we too often just don't get Jesus.
It's not just the Resurrection they haven't experienced. Their lives in Jesus haven't yet been activated. They are growing in knowledge and love, but they just haven't been lit on fire. They haven't yet experienced the Pentecost Flame.
This Sunday, we will again hear of the day (50 days after Easter) that the Holy Spirit activated the passions which lay inside each of those gathered in that upper room. We will consider for ourselves in what ways our own faith may be lying dormant.
In the Way of Love,
Debbie

This week we celebrate Pentecost!!!!. Everyone is asked to wear red as we hear of the tongues of flames!
Services are offered at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm and are also broadcast on Facebook Live. Leaflets may be found on our website.
At 10:00 am, Debbie will offer a story for children of all ages. Laura Beasley-Topliffe will lector, and Peggy Carter and Angela Williams are our ushers. The Church School will be in church this Sunday.
At 4:00 pm during Celtic Evensong and Communion, Paul Massari will read the lessons, Joanne Moar is offering the reflection, Eric Wagner is leading the prayers, Katie Scott is ushering, and Ryan Patten and Debbie Phillips will lead us in music from the Celtic tradition.
