From the Office of Campus Planning, Design and Construction:

As we prepare for the upcoming academic year, Queens College’s Office of Campus Planning, Design and Construction remains focused on enhancing the safety, accessibility, and performance of our facilities. As a general rule, building occupants will be notified before any work takes place. 

Below is a list of projects that are ongoing or will begin in Fall 2025: :

1. Delany Hall: Building Envelope Restoration. Exterior stucco repair, window replacement, roofing work, and associated work to restore the building envelope and protect interior systems. There will be exterior scaffolding, periodic rerouting of pedestrian paths, and access restrictions near work zones. Began Summer 2025. 
2. Queens Hall: Conversion of Library to Office Space. The former library space will be converted into new administrative and office suites. No expected interruptions to campus operations. Began Summer 2025. 
3. Remsen Hall and Science Building: Environmental Lab Renovation. Comprehensive renovation of chemistry and environmental labs, including upgraded mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, safety features, and lab casework. There may be temporary limited access. Ongoing through Fall 2025.  
4. Campuswide: ADA Exterior Accessibility Project. Installation and upgrades of accessible ramps, paths, and entry points to meet current ADA standards. There may be temporary closures or detours along major walkways; accessible alternatives will be posted. Starts Fall 2025.
5. King Hall: Window Reconstruction. Full replacement of all exterior windows to improve energy performance, climate control, and building appearance. Access to classrooms and offices will be required during installation. Starts Fall 2025.
6. Razran Hall and Rosenthal Library: Elevator Modernization. Full replacement and modernization of all elevators, including mechanical, electrical, and accessibility upgrades. This project will be phased to minimize disruption to building access and provide service continuity. Some elevators will be offline at different stages. Starts Fall 2025.
7. Parking Fields 15 N&S: Drainage and Resurfacing. Installation of stormwater drainage and resurfacing of asphalt surfaces. This project will require trenching within the lots and replacement of the existing asphalt surface. The lots will remain accessible outside of the work areas. Starts Fall 2025.
