Community Transportation Academy: That's a wrap!
It's hard to believe, but the inaugural Community Transportation Academy in La Crosse has come to a close. The penultimate class session was a walk/roll audit of Losey Blvd; read more about it here.

The final class session was an in-person celebration and set of final project presentations by participants in the class.

Active Wisconsin network call recap
During the last Active Wisconsin network call, attendees heard Melissa Kraemer Badtke (ECWRPC) and Kevin Wiessmann (Jefferson County Parks) share inspiring success stories of their work. Melissa worked with the National Complete Streets coalition to form a successful Complete Streets policy for ECWRPC, which has guided funding and encouraged communities in the region to take on Complete Streets themselves. Kevin successfully used TAP (Transportation Alternative Program) grants to build connector trails which have been extremely popular in the area. We are planning more exciting events this coming fall, so stay tuned!
