IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Be sure to sign up to attend National Night Out, the annual celebration of the close working relationship between the community and local law enforcement. It will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 6-7:30 pm, at the Center, sponsored by Falls Run Neighborhood Watch. It is free and no tickets are required, but you do have to register to attend. You may sign up with the concierge beginning Monday, July 15. Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur will open the program as usual, and a leading member of the Sheriff's Office will be the primary speaker. There will be light refreshments of cookies, brownies, and soft drinks following the program. All residents are encouraged to attend. New residents who are not yet involved in the Neighborhood Watch program here in Falls Run are particularly welcome to come and learn about how we protect the safety and security of our community.
Committee News
Falls Run Travel Committee
The Travel Committee needs new members as do ALL our community committees.

I can’t say that being a member of the Travel Committee is an easy job, but I can promise you that it is very rewarding.
Nothing feels better than arranging a trip that brings pleasure and excitement to your fellow residents and friends here in Falls Run!
Our membership will be dropping to only 6 members next year (down from 8). Our charter says we must have a minimum of 5 members, but experience has shown that number is too few to offer a variety of trips.
In the past, FRTC has averaged 23-27 trips per year (including the 2 LTP - Long Term Planning trips), but that number has been reduced to 20 this year.
The senior members of the committee (including myself) are wearing out, offering to lead fewer trips each year.
Without new members we are in danger of offering only 12-15 trips next year.
If you are curious as to what kind of planning goes into our trips, you are welcome to attend one of our monthly meetings (Wed, July 3, Aug 7, Sept 4, Oct 2, Nov 13, Dec 3) at the Center from noon to 2:00.
We are a fun group of pleasant ladies who would love to meet and assist you in the process of becoming a member of our committee.
You would never be asked to lead a trip until you felt comfortable in doing so and since the trips for this year are already planned, the earliest you might plan/lead a trip would be in 2020!!. We even have a handbook that covers basic trip planning and helpful hints for training purposes.
Call me if you need more information.
