IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
Friday, October 12 & Saturday, October 13 - LION'S CLUB BOOK SALE CANCELLED It was just brought to my attention today, September 29th, that the Lion's Club will not be hosting their book sale this year, so I apologize that it appears on the printed calendar.

NEW GATES
1.       Old Gate/Garage Remotes will continue to work. Gate RDIF Transponder Tags are an added feature for convenience and will not be required for entrance into the Community.

2.       The four-digit PIN is for you to provide to guests and relatives. The previous access code of 1000 will no longer work with the new gate system.

3.       Unexpected visitors (Realtors, UPS, FED-EX, etc.) and repair personnel can utilize the kiosk and follow the directions to either contact you at your home or contact the concierge on duty during regular Center hours.

PROCESS FOR GATE RDIF TRANSPONDER TAGS

1)      Bring your existing GATE REMOTE with you. We want to verify the data that is being programmed into the new gate system’s database. Each household is entitled to receive two free Gate RDIF Transponder Tags regardless of the number of remotes you may have been issued. Additional Gate RDIF Transponder Tags are available for purchase at an expense of $22.00 through the Activities Director from 9am – 3pm, Monday through Friday.

2)      Have your four-digit gate access code handy when you come. If you cannot remember your gate access code, one can be established at this time. At one time, the code that was being issued was the last four digits of your phone number.

GATE RDIF TRANSPONDER TAG INSTALLATION
1)      Clean application area with Windex or vinegar and ensure the installation area is dry before attempting to apply the Gate RDIF Transponder Tag.

2)      The application site for the Gate RDIF Transponder Tag must be approximately 2 ½ inches away from metal or heavy plastic molding. If you damage the Gate RDIF Transponder Tag (rip, tear or fold) the tag is no longer valid for use and will require purchasing a new tag for a fee of $22.00.

3)      Cure time:  Once the tag has been installed on the vehicle, there will be a period of time necessary to allow the tag’s adhesive to cure. Due to temperature and humidity variations the total cure time may vary. Most applications will experience 80% cure of the adhesive within 1 hour and full adhesive cure within 24 hours of application. Please DO NOT WASH the vehicle or disturb the tag for 24 hours after installation.

FAQs and Questions

1)      What happens if I trade my car in or sell my car? You’ll need to notify the staff at the Center to ensure that the tag that is registered to you has been deactivated. The tag should be removed using a Goof-Off and a razor blade to remove any adhesive residue.
2)      Will my remote still work? YES!!  DO NOT discard your existing remotes. The remotes are still being used for entrance into the community. The Gate RDIF Transponder Tags are an added convenience feature.

3)      Can the government track me through the tag? No. There are more chances of you being tracked through the cellphone you carry with you.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Gate Logic provided Falls Run with installation instructions and recommended installation area to be on the headlamp of your vehicle(s). A controversy regarding installation area has surfaced between the local inspection stations, the Safety Division of the Virginia State Police (oversees state inspectors) and Gate Logic. In light of the uncertainty of placing the tags on the headlamps as recommended by Gate Logic, we will be utilizing the option of placing the stickers on the windshield as clarified and allowable with the Safety Division of the Virginia State Police. The installation area will need to be in the just above the State of Virginia’s inspection sticker based on the 2018 change in location to the driver’s side lower corner. For residents who have received Gate RDIF Transponder (headlamp) Tags and had them installed on their headlamp, FRCA will be removing and replacing your tags at no charge.
