When I had originally set up Adams & Butler back in 2003, our sole specialization was exclusive-use properties in Ireland and Britain, and we were probably the only travel company who knew those elegant and charming properties really well.
As far back as January this year, almost pre-Covid, and indeed to a lesser extent over the last few years, we have noticed a growing trend for this type of property. It is so much easier to customise with a rental property which satisfies the clients' exact requirements more than a hotel, and there is one for every type of particular delectation.
Rental properties whether a castle, country estate, manor house, beach house or townhouse, are like
Lego, you simply add on the services such as cleaning, chef, butler or driver as you require, or not, if that is the case. Especially now, as clients are not only more concerned with limiting the amount of interaction with others, but are also experiencing overwhelming desires to be cocooned with their loved ones, exclusive-use rentals satisfy both those conflicting longings.
And Adams & Butler has grown since those earlydays, we now have access to many spectacular properties all over the world and especially in Africa.

Ballymote House is a truly authentic West of Ireland property. The surrounding area is steeped in history. The medieval town dates back to the 1300s when the Normans constructed the nearby Ballymote Castle. Ballymote House can host 14-20 people with 7 rooms available in the 18th Century manor house and a cottage closeby that can also fit another 8 people. It is the perfect location for hosting a multigenerational gathering. Ballymote House can also arrange an array of activities on the estate grounds. Falconry is a must-do experience as participants of all ages love it. The house is surrounded by forests with sheep and lambs grazing the 1000-acre property. Devonshire Castle is situated in Waterford and was originally constructed in the late 11
th Century. The history surrounding this castle is magnificent: from walls marked by Cromwellian cannon balls to the days it was owned by Sir Walter Raleigh - the man who brought potatoes and tobacco to Ireland - even JFK has spent a couple of nights in this exclusive castle. It sleeps 8 to 12 in an intimate environment or up to 27 for a bigger party. Devonshire Castle also comes with a butler who has been serving the castle for 35 years. Mallow House is a fabulous 300-year-old listed Georgian Country House hidden in the heart of a 450-acre wooded estate, in Northern Cork. Located only 30-minutes away from Cork city centre, it serves as a wonderful base to explore the South of Ireland. The house has an array of 16 bedrooms all styled differently. Mallow House is also a small country house hotel, so if you are interested in exclusively hiring the property, let Adams & Butler know your dates as soon as you can, so as to avoid the disappointment of missing out. The property is famous nationwide for having an amazing vegetable garden and a great field-to-fork policy. Ardmore Beach House is the perfect option for those travellers who want to experience a contemporary seaside cottage in Ireland. The Ardmore Beach House is situated just outside the historic city of Waterford, yet in a rural setting overlooking the sea, on Ireland's sunny south-east coast. Waterford was first inhabited by the Vikings and it is officially the oldest town in Ireland. Ardmore Beach House has 3 large bedrooms, one of which is a twin, the rest doubles. Dunloe House is in the gorgeous south-west of Ireland, which is considered to be the most scenic part of Ireland, not far from Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry. There is an array of outdoor activities which can be enjoyed on its doorstep. You can take part in falconry or maybe have a family day out and ride a jaunting car through the Gap of Dunloe, or go fishing in the lakes and local rivers. The 18
th Century manor house is set on 40 acres of land. Between the main house and the cottage, Dunloe House can host up to 30 people overnight. The property is also perfectly located for any travellers looking to take part in a golfing tour of Ireland. The South-West has a high concentration of wonderful championship links and parkland golf courses.
