The open offices for this year’s election are:
- President, 2-year term
- Vice President, 1-yr term
- Secretary, 1-yr term
- Board of Directors, 2-year terms, 4 vacancies to fill
Who is eligible?
Per our Constitution, only property owners are eligible to run for office. Renters, which includes those buying on installment contracts, are not eligible.
Please note the following Constitutional limits:
- A President may only serve two consecutive two-year terms, then must sit out a term.
- There are no term limits for Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
- Board members may only serve two consecutive two-year terms; then must take one year off.
When is the election held?
At the April 22, 2025 General Membership Meeting (held via Zoom), the Nominations Committee will report on its search for candidates and encourage those interested to volunteer to run for office. At this meeting, per the Constitution, nominations also will be taken from the floor.
In early May, those who are interested in running must provide a brief candidate statement that will be published in the May edition of The Pier newsletter that will be mailed to the community. Paper ballots will be mailed on approximately June 1. They must be received by the Nominations Committee by June 24 when the polls close. Electronic voting is open from June 6 to June 24. All ballots will e counted on June 24 and the results presented to the community at the General Membership Meeting on that date.
The new officers and board members will assume their offices on July 1.
