I-66 East approaching Cedar Lane in Vienna will be reduced to a single travel lane during the overnight hours Friday, January 14, through Thursday, January 20, as bridge beams for a new access ramp to the future I-66 Express Lanes are installed. Eastbound I-66 traffic will in a single lane behind barrier on the old general purpose lanes nightly during this time. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Drivers traveling on I-66 East during this time should expect delays and consider using alternate routes. All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.

I-66 East from east of Cedar Lane to Gallows Road
- I-66 East will be reduced to a single travel lane nightly Friday from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.; Saturday from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.; and Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- All eastbound traffic will be directed into a single lane and diverted behind barrier onto the old eastbound general purpose lanes.
- All lanes on I-66 East will reopen Saturday morning by 6:30 a.m.; Sunday morning by 7 a.m.; and weekday mornings by 5 a.m.
