Hi there, FoRR Volunteers! We hope you are as excited about the Spring 2023 Reedy River Cleanup as we are! Here is the information for your Spring Cleanup location this Saturday. Please review this information thoroughly.
Check-in begins at 8:30am!
Where to Park & Check-in Location
Check-in for this site is behind Riverside Apartments just downstream from Swamp Rabbit Cafe at 1121 Tsali Circle. Please park in the Riverside Apartment complex parking lot, on the back side closest to the River. Overflow parking is available in the lower parking lot at Mount Calvary Baptist Church (115 Cedar Lane Road).

Look for the Dapper Ink check-in tent behind the Riverside Apartments. Check-in location at approx. 34.867608, -82.420825. See map below for more details.
What to Wear
Lightweight clothes. Long pants & long-sleeved shirts are recommended. Closed-toed shoes (old jogging shoes, closed-toed sandals, hip/chest waders, etc.) only. Clothes & footwear that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty. NO open-toed shoes. We also suggest a cap or hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
What to Bring
Water bottle and gloves, if you have them. If not, we will provide them. We will also provide grabbers, litter collection bags, and drinking water.
What to Do
Follow your site leader’s instructions at all times. Check-in is from 8:30-9am. We will collect litter from 9am-11am. From 11am-11:30am, we will ensure all litter is placed at the designated collection locations and that all equipment is returned to the check-in site. The cleanup will conclude around 11:30am.
Afterwards
Pickup your t-shirts. Finally, if you plan to attend the afterparty at Southernside Brewing Co (25 Delano Dr, Unit D) please be sure to get a ticket for a free beverage before leaving your cleanup site.
Weather Notice
Our team is closely monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday's event. In the event of inclement weather or high river flows, we will contact you via email on Friday before 5pm and will reschedule to our rain date of the following Saturday, April 8. We will not send additional communications otherwise.
If you do not receive a cancellation email, the cleanup is still on!
