DFC Disburses Loan to Advance Technology Infrastructure in Africa

This month, DFC disbursed the first tranche of its up to $300 million loan to Africa Data Centres, the continent’s largest network of interconnected data facilities. By helping expand critical information and communications technology infrastructure in South Africa, Kenya, and other countries in the region, the loan will bolster development and economic growth across Africa.

DFC’s loan, a key investment advancing the Biden-Harris Administration’s Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment, was highlighted by U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken during his visit to South Africa earlier in the month.
