Greetings From the Office of Alumni Relations!

It has been a busy fall, Panthers! It's been wonderful to connect with many of you as we have traveled the country powering up the Panther network. In addition to our established  alumni chapters , we have visited Baltimore, Dallas, Denver, Nashville, and Scottsdale to hear your stories and learn of ways we can support each other.  Many of you have “come home to Adelphi” and visited us on our campuses across New York state. Earlier this month, thousands joined us on the Garden City campus in record numbers for the third annual Adelphi Spirit Weekend. I am thrilled to share with you a  highlight video  that captures the energy of the alumni, students, parents and families, faculty and staff that makes this comprehensive campus celebration so special. If you have not experienced the Panther pride, mark your calendars and join us in October 2020 from Friday, October 23, to Sunday, October 25. Network and Be Inspired at Our Annual Women’s Leadership Conference  On November 2, Adelphi University will host the third annual Women’s Leadership Conference with keynote speakers Dottie Herman , CEO of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, and Carolyn Quinn '87 , executive director at Cohen Children's Medical Center, Northwell Health. We expect another sold-out event.  The Ruth S. Harley University Center Renovation Is Underway If you have been on campus recently, you have undoubtedly noticed some changes. Learn more about the significant progress on the renovation of the Ruth S. Meet the Deans This summer, Adelphi welcomed four new deans to campus: Andy Atzert , dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Studies; Susan Dinan, PhD , dean of Adelphi’s Honors College; Vincent Wei-cheng Wang, PhD , dean of the College of Arts and Sciences; and Xiao-lei Wang, PhD , dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences.  Alumni Honored at Legends Dinner Sixteen Panthers—including our brand new class of 10 Under 10—were recognized during Adelphi Spirit Weekend at the third annual Legend’s Dinner on Saturday, October 5.

Momentum Tour Continues—This Year, With New Students Joining Our Alumni Family President Christine M. Riordan’s  national tour brings Adelphi to your city. Join us!

Become a Regional Chapter Volunteer Help us power up the Panther network nationwide! We are currently seeking alumni who are interested in helping to lead regional chapters in Connecticut, Boston, Florida, New York City, Philadelphia, Suffolk County, and Washington, D.C. Regional chapters provide numerous opportunities for Adelphi graduates to come together for professional networking, volunteering, keeping up on new developments at the University and just for fun. Alumni Profile: Carolina Medina ’18  Carolina Medina ’18 has followed a path that has taken her from Adelphi, where she created her own major combining sustainability development and nonprofit management, to a semester studying abroad in Australia. Next up? She’s heading to Costa Rica on a Fulbright scholarship.
