Last month marked Adelphi University's 125th Charter Day. In honor of our milestone anniversary, I invite you to watch Building Tomorrow Together—Adelphi's inspiring history, captured in two powerful minutes.

After more than a century, Adelphi continues transforming lives. Our Hispanic Community Partnership Program offers new pathways to promising high school students from around the country. Our scholar-athletes repeatedly shine in their sports and excel in academics. And our world-class faculty are often on the cutting edge of their fields—like our cyberworld expert Mark Grabowski, JD, who looks at aging privacy laws in a fascinating interview about online security.

Equity in College Readiness

Now in its third year, our Hispanic Community Partnership Program has more than tripled in attendance and is drawing interest from Hispanic teens as far away as California. The program is just one part of our commitment to student success and access to education, and a significant stepping-stone toward our goal to be a Hispanic-Serving Institution.
Our Athletes Lead

Despite grueling schedules, our scholar-athletes continue to lead academically among all Northeast-10 institutions. Finishing first in Fall 2020, they've taken the top spot in eight of the past 11 semesters—winning in their sports and their studies. 
Our Expert on Cyberspace

Associate Professor Mark Grabowski, JD, an award-winning contributor to the Washington Examiner, launched his book on cyberlaw and ethics this month. His leading insights on ransomware, fake news and online social media attacks are a must-read for tackling today’s biggest challenges in cyberspace.
Celebrating 125 Years: Watch Building Tomorrow Together

Adelphi College opened its doors 125 years ago in Brooklyn, New York, with 57 students. Now we celebrate a milestone birthday as a major metropolitan university with almost 8,000 students and more than 118,000 living alumni around the world. Witness our successful journey in pictures.

  • A CNN story on mindfulness featured Deborah Serani, PsyD, senior adjunct faculty member in psychology, sharing her "5 ways to free yourself" from overthinking.
  • In Scientific American, Michael D’Emic, PhD, paleontologist and associate professor of biology, shares his thoughts on unscrambling dinosaur bones.
  • On News 12, Lea Theodore, PhD, professor of psychology, shared her expertise during a live segment on the pandemic’s toll on children’s mental health.
  • Adelphi student and admissions ambassador Sarah Menzel gave viewers a campus tour in a Newsday feature video.
