Adelphi’s investment in rising leaders takes center stage this month.

Select faculty members who become Adelphi’s Viret Family Faculty Leadership Fellows each year are aspiring academic leaders. Our partnership with Youth INC led to the creation of the Rise Academy for Leaders of Color, which recently won global honors for its work. And we are proud of our fifth consecutive Newman Civic Fellow, an outstanding student leader.

For National Nurses Month, I invite you inside our state-of-the-art Clinical Education and Simulation Lab, where our students train to become tomorrow’s nursing leaders.

Also this month, we'll celebrate an in-person Commencement for our Class of 2022 and conclude our 125th anniversary with an end-of-year get-together. In June, the excitement continues: our annual President’s Gala and a very long-awaited ribbon-cutting for our award-winning new Ruth S. Harley University Center.

Newsweek turned to our political science professor and acting chair Katie Laatikainen, PhD, for a story about Russia's military, and how it has been overestimated. Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, Dr. Laatikainen has provided expert commentary on four Newsweek stories.
