Powering Up Scientific Computing

Here in New York, too few science students were trained to write the custom code required for high-level research. Adelphi answered the need by creating the first minor in scientific computing in New York state, in partnership with Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Adelphi is making local, national and global news. Here are some recent media highlights:

  • Real Clear Policy featured an op-ed from Traci Levy, PhD, associate professor of political science, and Elizabeth Palley, PhD, professor of social work, about including child care and elder care in national infrastructure proposals.
  • Nursing student Elaina Johnson is profiled in a Nurses Week section of the New York Post.
  • In a special issue of The Chronicle of Higher EducationJosh Altman, PhD, associate director of the Student Counseling Center, offered commentary on the future of therapy after the pandemic.
