Specialized Independent Living

Westmoreland and Blair Counties

Specialized Independent Living is a 4-6 month program for males, ages 16-20, who are in need of independent living skills while receiving minimal supervision.

Youth may attend the charter school, one of the local public high schools, colleges, or trade schools, or earn their GED. Additionally, they attend independent living classes that include instruction in cooking, cleaning, obtaining employment, and budgeting.

Intensive Supervision With Mental Health Focus

Westmoreland County

• Female ages 12-20

• Community-based group home

• Staff secure environment

• Treatment interventions include PTSD

counseling (individual and group),

Aggression Replacement Training,

Individual Therapy, Reality Therapy/Choice

Theory, group counseling, accountability,

Contingency Contracting, and basic child

management techniques

• Psychiatric services and medication

management provided
