The Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) has completed all COVID-19 contact tracing at Adlai E. Stevenson School No. 29. The MCDPH has determined that in-school transmission may have occurred in one incident while no children were present. Three staff members tested positive in connection to that possible exposure. Additionally, the contract tracing on five other employees who tested positive at the school indicates they were not exposed to the virus in school, and there was no in-school transmission. The county says there is no increased risk for students or staff returning to the building. As a result, the school will reopen on Monday, March 1.
