Fellow CTE Leaders,

After a season of “breaking records,” we’re shifting our focus to something even more powerful: building the teams that make those records possible. Over the past two months, our ACTE Administration Division has been deep in the work, reading, reviewing, and refining hundreds of session proposals. What stood out was the caliber of ideas, strategies, and innovations being shared across the country. 

It reinforced a simple truth, that strong programs are built by strong teams, and strong teams are built with the right tools, ideas, and connections. This quarter, our theme centers on equipping you, the leaders, with what you need to build, strengthen, and elevate your own teams. 

Think of it as your leadership “toolbox” in action. 

Whether it’s finding new ways to develop staff, creating cultures of collaboration, or expanding opportunities for students, the upcoming conferences are designed to deliver practical resources you can take back and use immediately. Every selected session represents a solution, something tested, refined, and ready to support your work.

First, the Administrative Division is launching a new webinar leading up to our national conference. This webinar series will bring together a collection of some of the innovative practitioners in our field, creating dialogue and momentum for our signature event. Stay tuned: if you have topics you’d like to suggest, you can add them HERE.

That’s why I want to extend a strong invitation to join us at one, or both, of our national events.

In October, Best Practices for CTE Administrators will bring forward actionable ideas you can implement right away. 

Then in December, we will gather in New Orleans to celebrate ACTE's Centennial Celebration at CareerTech VISION, a milestone event that honors our legacy while shaping the future of CTE. 

These are opportunities to invest in your team, your programs, and your impact. We’ve done the work to curate the very best, now it’s your turn to experience it.

Powering Possibility: Advancing Postsecondary CTE Impact

See What’s Possible When Districts Collaborate

ACTE’s School Study Visit to the Northern Kane County Regional Vocational System highlights a regional CTE model where districts pool resources to deliver advanced programs and facilities they couldn’t sustain alone. Through a partnership with a community college, students also earn industry credentials and college credit while still in high school. Designed for CTE leaders seeking scalable, cost‑effective solutions, this tour offers practical, real‑world strategies for doing more with less.

Build the Future: Lead ACTE Into Its Next Century

As a member of ACTE's board of directors, you have the opportunity to influence the Association’s direction and make a lasting impact on CTE programs, professionals and students nationwide. Nominations for the ACTE board of directors are open through June 15. Explore the available positions and learn how you can get involved.

Student Trophy Design Contest: Encourage Your Students to Enter!



Invite your students to design the 3D-printed trophies for ACTE’s prestigious Excellence Awards. This hands-on contest highlights creativity, innovation and real-world CTE skills. First-place designers will receive $1,000 scholarship prize for the winning team, a free one-year lease of a 3D printer for the winner’s school, courtesy of Stratasys and more. Submissions are due May 1.
