Fall Quarterly News Update

Fellow CTE Administrators:

I hope this fall newsletter finds you and your school year progressing well.  It was terrific to see the strong attendance of the Administration Division at the recent Best Practices and Innovations conference in Salt Lake City. The annual conference, co-hosted by ACTE and NCLA, was outstanding with excellent keynote speakers, great breakout and mini-sessions, and wonderful opportunities to network and socialize with CTE administrative colleagues. Next year’s Best Practices and Innovations in CTE Conference will be held in Portland, Oregon (Sept. 27–29), so mark your calendars now for what will be another terrific conference focused specifically on content and sessions for CTE Administrators.

Up next on the horizon is another wonderful professional development opportunity with CareerTech VISION 2023. The early registration rates are ending Oct. 13, so now is the time to act to join thousands of others in the CTE event of the year!  Be sure to note the following Administration Division sessions:

Wednesday, Nov. 29

  • 11:00 a.m.–noon: Administration Division Policy Committee Meeting (Face-to-Face)
  • 1:45–2:45 p.m.: Administration Division Business Meeting (Face-to-Face)

Thursday, Nov. 30

  • 7:00–8:00 a.m.: First-Time Attendee Breakfast & Orientation
  • 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m.: Administration Division Opening Session with Keynote Speaker Hans Meeder “Leadership 360: Leading Yourself, Leading from the Middle, Leading Change”

Also, on Friday, Dec. 1, the Administration Division is partnering with the Counseling & Career Development Division, New and Related Services Division, and Work-Based Learning Division to host an all-day hospitality room.

If there is any way that I can help to support your work, please do not hesitate to reach out.  In the meantime, please enjoy the reminders and resources offered within the newsletter and I look forward to seeing you during the upcoming VISION Conference.

Admin VP

Sincerely,

Eric Ripley
