Fellow CTE Administrators, |
Welcome to 2023! I want to reflect and thank everyone for the record-breaking CareerTech VISION conference. From the 1,867 attendees representing the Administration Division to a standing-room-only Administration Division Opening Session, it was powerful to see the representation displayed by our division at the conference! My appreciation to the Policy Committee and Division Fellows for their efforts throughout the conference and to Randall Gooch in serving as our Opening Session Keynote Speaker.
Congratulations is extended to Sandra Adams (Fort Wayne Career Academy, Indiana), on being elected as the incoming Administration Division VP-elect! Sandra will officially start her elect-year this July, and I look forward to working with her as she succeeds me in leading this amazing division. My appreciation as well to Jayme Fitzpatrick and Martin Hanley for their candidacy for the VP-elect position. We were very fortunate to have three outstanding candidates up for consideration.
Our collective attention turns now to the upcoming National Policy Seminar (March 19–22) which is a terrific opportunity for members to learn more about the advocacy efforts and strategies for becoming actively involved at the state and national level. If you have not attended the National Policy Seminar in the past, you will find the conference and advocacy process very informational and enlightening.
Happy New Year and my very best to each of you, your staff, and your students for a successful 2023!
