Winter Quarterly News Update | |
Fellow CTE Administrators, |
Happy New Year! I want to reflect and thank everyone for another terrific CareerTech VISION conference. The Administration Division was again well represented in our attendance, as evidenced by a full room only for our Administration Division Opening Session. It is very cold right now in North Dakota (-30 wind chills), but it certainly warms my heart to recall the level of representation displayed by our division at VISION! My appreciation to the Policy Committee and Division Fellows for their efforts throughout the conference and to Hans Meeder in serving as our Opening Session Keynote Speaker. For those unable to attend, you were spared a little entertainment of yours truly on stage during the closing session!
Looking ahead, I have always believed that one of the strongest benefits of ACTE membership is the advocacy efforts of the organization in securing policy and funding support to advance CTE. The upcoming National Policy Seminar (NPS), happening March 17-20, is a terrific opportunity for members to learn more about the advocacy efforts and strategies for you to become actively involved at the state and national level. If you have not attended the NPS in the past, you will find the conference and advocacy process very informational and enlightening.
Happy New Year and my very best to each of you, your staff, and your students for a successful 2024!

Sincerely,
Eric Ripley
VP, ACTE Administration Division
