Starting the Day with Outdoor Play and Healthy Routines
Our daily rhythms inspire joy and growth! In the JK class, the day begins outside—rain or shine—with time to move, explore, and connect. From there, students gather for Morning Meeting, where they take on meaningful roles like calendar helper and prayer leader, greet one another, and answer the question of the day. These healthy routines—rich in movement, friendship, and meaningful roles—help lay the foundation for resilient, curious, and community-minded learners.

Known, Loved, and Supported
At Salisbury Academy, every student knows where to turn for support. School Counselor Kia Creamer visited classrooms during this first week of school to remind students how easy it is to reach out—through a special mailbox in Lower School or a quick Google Form in Middle and Upper School. Because access to care should be simple, and every student’s well-being matters!

Middle School Advisory Draft
As part of SA’s first-day traditions, sixth graders were welcomed into their middle school advisory groups—a special moment that builds connection, leadership, and community.
Advisories, made up of students in grades 6–8, meet weekly for team building, goal setting, and service. It’s a key part of how our middle schoolers are known, supported, and empowered.

The Classroom Has No Walls at the SA Upper School!
During their first week back, our Upper School students kicked off the year with scavenger hunts, team challenges, and getting-to-know-you games — all designed to help them connect with each other and the vibrant Downtown Salisbury community that surrounds them. From local landmarks to hidden gems, students explored the spaces that will become part of their everyday learning.
