Parenting Kind Kids: Join us January 26
Parenting Kind Kids: The impact of a culture of kindness on the school community

Join us on Thursday, Jan. 26
8:05 a.m. at SA
In a world that often prioritizes competition over kindness, children must understand the importance of creating a culture of kindness and the role that they can play in their school and community. Licensed Mental Health Counselor and SA parent Amanda Faggart, MS, LCMHC, NCC, will share the cultural challenges children face today and how we as parents and role models can teach, model, and help develop kindness in our children while reducing their anxiety and insecurities.
About Amanda Faggart

Amanda graduated from UNCG in 2007 with a masters in community counseling. She worked at a community agency for several years prior to getting her full license (LCMHC) where she learned to diagnose and treat many mental health concerns. She has since worked in the community, school, and inpatient settings providing therapeutic services and support. With 15 years experience in multiple settings, she began to specialize in women's issues. These can include depression, anxiety, and trauma or difficult transitions like parenting, divorce, and empty-nesting. Amanda continues to see a broad range of mental health concerns, genders, and populations. She meets clients where they are and works towards their goals.
