Learning and Community Highlights

Learning Through Play in the JK Class

At Salisbury Academy, JK students learn through hands-on exploration and play, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning. Rain or shine, our students embrace the natural world as their classroom! Just last week during the rainy weather, JK students pulled on their rain boots, eager to splash in puddles and experience the simple joys of nature. This joyful exploration fosters curiosity, sensory learning, and a deep appreciation for the environment.

5th Grade Holds State Fair Event

Which state would YOU call the best? Fifth graders just wrapped up an epic State Fair event! After diving into research on all 50 states, they became true experts—learning state locations, memorizing capitals, and uncovering fun facts about each state’s history, geography, and culture.

To top it off, students wrote persuasive essays explaining why their chosen state is the absolute best, showcasing their skills in paraphrasing, strong sentence structure, and writing mechanics. It was an amazing celebration of learning, creativity, and state pride!
