Dear Prospective Students and Families,

Seasons greetings from 378 Main Street! We hope you had a restful Thanksgiving and wish your family peace and joy this Christmas. To celebrate the second week of Advent, Saint John's held its Virtual Holiday Concert & Tree Lighting Ceremony last night, which we invite you to enjoy by clicking here. As always, contact our office at (508) 842-8934 ext. 266 or [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns regarding the application process at Saint John's.
APPLICATION DEADLINE

The deadline for parents to complete their portion of the application process in Ravenna is December 15 for grade 9, January 15 for the middle school and April 1 for transfer students. Please visit our website for detailed instructions and application requirements for each grade level. Below is a list of the required parent steps in Ravenna:

  • Submit the preliminary application
  • Submit the parent and student statements
  • Submit the signed transcript release form to your student's current school
  • Delegate the recommendation form in Ravenna

We understand this is a busy time of year for our middle school partners. Your student’s chances of admission will not be impacted if his grades or recommendation form are not received by the application deadline. Admission decisions will be released by late January for grade 9 applicants and by late February for middle school applicants. Therefore, it is important that your student's school submit the transcripts and recommendation as soon as possible, but no later than January 15, 2021.

Once the application is considered complete, interviews may be scheduled by contacting Nancy Wentzell at (508) 842-8934 ext. 266. An interview is required for middle school applicants and transfer students but is optional for grade 9 applicants.

FINANCIAL AID DEADLINE

The deadline to submit the application for financial aid in Smart Aid is December 15 for grade 9, January 15 for the middle school and April 1 for transfer students. Information about creating a Smart Aid account, completing the online application, and submitting the required supporting documentation can be found here. Tax returns for 2020 can be uploaded once they become available. Please note, the application for financial aid in Smart Aid is separate from the application for admission in Ravenna.

ADMISSIONS TESTS ON 12/12

If your student has not yet taken the Grade 7 or Grade 9 Admissions Test, please register him in Ravenna for the Saturday, December 12th exam no later than Wednesday, December 9th. The Grade 7 test will be administered on campus at 8:30 AM following all safety guidelines. The Grade 9 test will be administered online at 8:30 AM and proctored remotely via zoom. The results of the exam will be included in the admission packet mailed home. For more information on the grade 8 admission test, contact Nancy Wentzell at (508) 842-8934 ext. 266 or [email protected].

The Passport To Be a Pioneer Series is a great opportunity for prospective families to connect with the Saint John's Community. Each meeting will focus on a different aspect of the Saint John's experience and include administration, faculty, current students and parents. No registration is required. A link to join the meetings via zoom will be sent to the email address associated with your Ravenna account.
