Colby and Lacey

Mr. Colby Overfelt was born on December 27, 1997 and when the Overfelts adopted him at 8 weeks old, he weighed only 4 lbs....A sweet little Boston Terrier Boy with a BIG personality and a love for playing ball... did someone say ball???? He grew up with his fur-sister Shelby who he loved more than anything. Shelby and Colby were one of the first clients Tiffany Reynolds had in Potomac and the pups always looked forward to their walks to see who was visiting them that day... would it be Tiffany, Fran, Shannon, Jeannine, or Donna??? In 2007, when Shelby got very sick and passed away from Cancer at 10+ years old, Colby was very sad and lonely. So his mom and dad flew all the way to Savannah, GA to pick up his little sister Lacey, who is such a pistol. Lacey definitely put a pep back in Colby's step and literally became his shadow whether he liked it or not. Colby had always been a very healthy fur-baby most of his life but after he turned 10, he started to have health issues too... glaucoma, seizures, heart problems but the wonderful doctors and nurses at Glenvilla and VCA took really good care of him and he was a trooper about taking all of his meds, but in the last 6 months he developed a brain tumor and lost his sight entirely...his Mom and Dad knew it was time to say goodbye, but needless to say after 15+ years it was incredibly hard to let their "little man" go... Sadly, Colby passed away on Saturday March 31, 2012 in his Mamma and Papa's arms. He was so very loved...and he will be forever missed. But we know he is hanging out at the Rainbow Bridge playing "slobber-ball" with his big Sister Shelby...

Earth day!!

We should treat every day as Earth Day! We only get one earth and it is so important we treat it right! Here are Pet and Home Care's top ten tips you should try to use as much as possible:

1. Use Water Efficiently when washing dishes/clothes and when bathing yourself and pets

2. Reduce / Reuse / Recycle whenever possible

3. Save Energy by turning off lights and unplugging electronics you are not using

4. Buy local! Buying food/supplies from farmers' markets uses less energy and reducing carbon footprint

5. Choose leashes and collars made out of sustainable fibers

6. Feed natural or organic pet food

7. Choose safe/ natural flea and tick treatments

8. Choose biodegradable waste bags for scooping poop

9. Try recycled pet toys

10. Shop at a rescue or shelter's thrift store

Ebby is a gorgeous Persian mix who is about 1� yrs old. She came to her foster home very pregnant and delivered her litter just two days later. She has been a great mom, and now her kittens are old enough to find their forever homes and Ebby is ready for hers too! Ebby is a quiet, calm cat who loves to have her ears scratched and her back rubbed. She will require a bit of brushing and grooming to keep her beautiful long fur looking beautiful. Ebby isn't a fan of other cats and dogs right now, but that may change when she isn't in protective "Mommy mode." Ebby is a petite sweetie, weighing just over 6 pounds. Do you want two free 30 minute visits?

Here's what you need to do.

Contact our main office to let us know that you want to have one of our signs in your front yard. The signs are small and attractive.

Our sitter will come set the sign up and provide a free 30 minute visit. The sign stays up during the next four weeks, and our sitter will come back to provide your second free 30 minute visit and take the sign down.

You can of course still schedule service throughout the time that you have a sign in your yard.
