Adrian Rodriguez - Inventing His Future
The quest to walk on water continues

Three years ago, Adrian Rodriguez, a senior in high school, was on a family trip in Chiapas, Mexico. He and his family were on a boat, and Adrian was looking out at the water. He wished there was a way to step beyond the boat and get even closer to the waters around him. It was within that moment when Adrian first had his big idea.
 
That idea was buoyant shoes-shoes that would stabilize themselves and allow the user to actually walk on the surface of the water. Adrian said he was inspired by scenes from a cartoon, where the characters were walking and running on top of water. Read more about this article.



Accounting at Texas A&M-Kingsville Has Never Been More Fun 
Hands-on lab experience using non-traditional methods
 
The College of Business Administration recently developed an accounting lab to help students improve their understanding of accounting basics. The lab is a requirement for all students taking the Accounting 2301 Introduction to Accounting course.
 
Students in this lab don't just memorize formulas or solve problems; they get hands-on experience, using some non-traditional methods. Students can expect to play Monopoly, Jeopardy and Family Feud, along with other interactive activities. Read more about this article.

 

Dr. Dongnyoung Kim Moves into the Research Spotlight 
Spring semester 2017
 
Dr. Dongnyoung Kim joined the faculty of Texas A&M University-Kingsville in fall 2014, as an assistant professor in the College of Business Administration Department of Accounting and Finance. He held the same title at his previous institution, Tiffin University in Ohio. He completed his Ph.D. in Business Administration specialized in Finance from the University of South Florida in 2013.

His works appear in well respected, peer-reviewed journals such as Multinational Business Review, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Review of Accounting and Finance, and Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal. Read more about this article



Patrick De Los Santos Joins College of Business Administration  
CBA welcomes new End User Support Specialist
 
The Texas A&M University-Kingsville College of Business Administration is excited to welcome Mr. Patrick De Los Santos as the End User Support Specialist. He will begin his new duties for the college on February 1st. Patrick has worked in the IT support field in various capacities over the past six years with increasing responsibility and authority in each of his roles. We are fortunate that he has decided to join the CBA.
Patrick holds a Bachelor's degree of Music from the Manhattan School of Music and Master's Degree of Music from Carnegie Mellon University.
