Land's Sake Farm Eggs by the Numbers
What happens with the eggs from our farm animals?
| | | | Throughout March, Land's Sake's 30 chickens laid 313 eggs, 3 ducks laid 24 eggs, and 3 quail laid 9 eggs. Eggs are collected during farm chore programs, and are used in education programs to discuss the life cycle, and for cooking programs in our kitchen. If you have extra egg cartons, donate them! We use them to store education program eggs. Contact violet@landssake.org to coordinate drop-off. | | | | Please note that the farmstand will be closed on Sunday, April 20. Be sure to swing by Wednesday - Saturday, 10am-4pm, to stock up on farmstand favorites, fresh bread, and seasonal produce! | | |

Animals Love When Humans Visit
Keep Land's Sake Animals Safe by Following these Rules
| | | | |
Enjoy visiting the animals during daylight hours, but make sure to follow the following rules so animals stay safe and happy:

- Do not feed Land's Sake animals anything other than small amounts of grass found on the farm.
- Keep dogs leashed and a minimum of three feet away from all enclosures and fences.

FARM
April is Earth Month - Visit the Farm and Celebrate with Us
| | |
Earth Month in Education & Volunteer:
| | Bring Farm-Scale Compost to Land's Sake | | | | Land's Sake is building an aerated static pile (ASP) compost system with the help of a generous grant from the MA Department of Agricultural Resources. This method works for farm-scale composting, and is faster and more efficient than traditional composting. Every donation helps grow healthy plants that are better for people AND the environment. | | |
