DISABILITIES

October National Disability Employment Awareness Month

When thinking about October, many thoughts come to mind, with Halloween at the forefront of the list. Within the world of disabilities, we are excited to support the following initiative:

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)

This is a time when we focus on the barriers experienced by persons with disabilities regarding employment. But it’s not just about being aware, it's also about doing our part. Here are some ideas ranging from awareness to screening a disability documentary (Crip Camp is a great watch).

A.I. to help teachers do their homework

QuestionWell

There are many Artificial Intelligence (AI) sites that are helpful for students and teachers, and one such site is QuestionWell. Just tell the AI what topic you want to make a quiz on, add some additional reading (optional) and viola, your quiz is generated. I made the one below by adding the topic “convert fractions into decimals” and I didn’t have to add anything else, it simply created the nice quiz you see below.

After you make the quiz, you can print it to a printer or pdf, copy and paste, or export it. The export feature will allow you to export the quiz to Quizziz, Moodle, Google Forms, Kahoot, Canvas, Quizlet and more.

It’s free to create multiple choice questions and you can sign up for a $7 a month plan that will allow you to create more intricate quizzes like fill-in-the-blank and short answer. It will also let you search for learning outcomes based on your organization’s standards.

It’s super easy and fun, give it a try!
