Adult Purim Extravaganza!
Tonight! March 6 at 6:00 pm

Join us for a joyful Purim celebration with some annual favorites and new traditions! Costumes are encouraged! Livestreaming available starting at 7pm.

6:00 pm Shushan Deli - Food and drink (sandwich, chips, and hamentaschen) available for $10! You can pay in advance or bring cash. We will have gluten-free, vegetarian options. If you wish, grab food and bring it to the happy hour or text study!

6:00 pm Young Adult Happy Hour (20s/30s) - Gather in Sisterhood Chapel to celebrate Purim with mocktails, cocktails, and good company!

6:30 pm Intergenerational text study with Rabbi Adler - Rabbi Adler leads a discussion on where God is in the Purim story!

7:00 pm Megillah Reading and Spirited Purim Service!  

After the service: Latke/Hamentaschen Debate: The Rematch!

Local comedians Elise Cole (who grew up at MZ) and Max Hornstein return to Mount Zion for a rematch debate on the merits of these holiday delicacies. Improv guru and MZ congregant Erica Solomon will moderate. Will the Latke or the Hamentasch reign supreme this year? Come and find out!
On behalf of the Women of Mount Zion Temple, we invite you to help Mount Zion achieve our overall goal of raising $20,000 for Neighborhood House’s March Food Drive. Funds raised during the March Food Drive will be matched by Minnesota Foodshare.

SPORTY had their annual Purim Lock-In on Saturday night! They had fun on the carnival bouncies, played lots of games, and watched a movie. It was a blast!

The Kivvun La’Atid Task Force invites all congregants to a gathering to talk about our draft Strategic Plan for Mount Zion, which the Board will vote on in May. We want to hear your feedback and priorities, so please share them with us at one or both of these interactive congregational meetings. If you cannot attend either of these events, you will also be able to submit your ideas and comments in written form. We are working on that option and will provide more information soon!

- The Minnesota JCC is thrilled to announce the 2023 Twin Cities Jewish Humor Fest, featuring four unique experiences designed to bring laughter, connection, and joy. - Beth Jacob Congregation will host the Allen Gorin Lecture 2023 on Sunday, March 19, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm. Rabbis Gordon and Ethan Tucker, father and son, have shaped the last 50 years of egalitarian Judaism. Their joint presentation "From Parent to Child: Which Traditions Remain and Which Must Change?" will explore how the different landscapes that each encountered necessitated divergent paths toward the same ideological goals. Details and registration.
