Milwaukee Recreation is excited to resume Adult Sports softball and kickball leagues this spring and summer! All leagues will adhere to CDC guidelines and local health orders. Registration is now open for softball and kickball leagues!
The winter programming season is underway, but spring registration is right around the corner! Spring registration begins at 10 a.m. for:

Youth & Teens
Twilight Centers are open!
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, young people are invited to visit Milwaukee Recreation's FREE Twilight Centers to safely spend time with friends at Andrew Douglas MS, Madison HS, North Division HS, Obama SCTE, Pulaski HS, South Division HS, and Washington HS.
Expanded Child Care Opportunities
Our Community Learning Centers at Audubon, Cass, Greenfield, and Riverwest now offer additional program hours from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. to provide virtual day-school support for students and parents. All four sites will remain open through 6 p.m. each day for safe and physically distanced recreation, academic enrichment activities, and opportunities for youth to socialize.

2021 Daddy/Daughter Dance: Canceled
Milwaukee Recreation has canceled the 2021 Daddy/Daughter Dance in order to maximize the safety of our participants, volunteers, and staff. We received extensive feedback to our survey from the community. There is good news – Milwaukee Recreation is planning a special family event for the spring/summer!
Virtual Therapeutic Recreation
Our virtual Therapeutic Recreation programming has returned! Milwaukee Recreation offers a full slate of diverse programming options to keep individuals with disabilities engaged at home. Join our Therapeutic Recreation Facebook group to be a part of the community and participate in all the free daily classes!

Milwaukee Recreation Wellness Community
You are invited to join our Wellness Community Facebook group! This new group will offer a variety of wellness challenges and prizes to participate in throughout 2021. We just completed our first monthly challenge; join the group to compete in future activities and participate in the community conversation!
Be Active Wisconsin Community Challenge
Wisconsin communities have joined the competition to conquer the most minutes of any activity during March 1-31. Residents of each town will participate as one team to win. All participants will receive a t-shirt and the most active community will win a trophy! Registration fee is $10.
Instructor Spotlight: Dan Janowski
Milwaukee Recreation instructor Dan Janowski is offering four arts & crafts classes for adults at Hamilton Community Center this spring.

Dan’s positive attitude and creative spirit make his classes incredibly successful at Hamilton and MacDowell,” Milwaukee Recreation supervisor Mya DeVecchis said. “His willingness to engage with the Recreation community makes him a fantastic instructor.”
