Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge thanks our WNMD Pastors and Churches! We exist because of your kindness, care, and support!

  • Adult and Teen Challenge was founded in Brooklyn, New York by Rev. David Wilkerson in 1958. This story is told in the run-away best-selling book The Cross and the Switchblade. Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge was started in 1983 on Vliet Street in Milwaukee. Our centers take in both men and women.
  •  Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge represents two centers in the largest recovery network in the world with over 1,400 locations in over 125 countries.
  • A 2019 study conducted by the Center for Compassion at Evangel University confirmed that an astonishing 78% of graduates from our centers remain sober and substance free post-graduation. Watch this testimonial
  • Students at Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge memorize over 350 verses of scripture during our one year program." Changing life with your mind, body, spirit and meeting truth".
  • Each day our students operate the only thrift store in Wisconsin managed by addicts. Each year they sell over 100,000 items.
  • Our women’s program located in Historic Concordia Neighborhood was started 20 years ago in Historic Concordia Neighborhood with a lead gift provided by Hall of Fame Green Bay Packer Reggie White and his wife, Sarah White.
  • Our Great Lakes Adult and Teen Challenge Choir is one of the most active choirs in the state holding services in 78 different church in 2019. Book the choir today and help support a good cause!
