Adults! You can attend fun summer programming, too!
|
While the primary goal of the Summer Reading Program is to instill a lifelong love of reading in children and give them a safe place to interact and enjoy quality programming, adults should do the same!
This summer there’s an extra incentive for those 18 and over to attend programming – you get a ticket for the adult raffle bags and baskets each time you do!
Some of the programming the library offers grownups includes:
-
A monthly Fiction Club (this month the group is reading Anne Tyler’s Clock Dance)
-
Two weekly mahjong groups (Wednesday at 1 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m.)
-
A crafting group (meets on Thursdays at 2 p.m.)
- A coloring club (which meets at 6 p.m. Tuesdays)
-
Felting and other workshops!
You can also get a raffle ticket when you read or listen to a book or magazine! Don’t let the kids have all the fun – sign up for one of our programs today!

Patrons piled into the community room to take a stab at felted TACOS! Fun and Puns were spilling out of us as we pounded the brown into ground beef, cut the (felt) cheese, tossed two-toned tomatoes, and finger blended lettuce.

While it was hotter than an oven outside for our summer BBQ on the lawn, the kids kept cool with tons of water fun.
We roasted over 50 hot dogs, enjoyed chips, and kept hydrated with tons of ice water and watermelon. After scarfing down their lunch, the kids were eager to get wet in our "kid" wash at last week's Friday "Fun on the Lawn" program.

Happy birthday, SpongeBob!
|
We took the fun indoors for a crazy character scavenger hunt, enjoyed cupcakes and sang the birthday song to our favorite sponge.
There was a SpongeBob magnet craft and limbo rounded out the day!
